DIY Bunny Gnome

Materials Needed:

  • Fur ( 12"x 9")

  • Drop Cloth (12"x21")

  • Styrofoam Cone (3.8"x 8.8")

  • Wood Ball (3/4")

  • Twine

Tools Needed:

  • Scissors

  • Hot Glue Gun

Wrap your fabric around your cone and use your hot glue gun to adhere it to your styrofoam cone. You want to keep that gap of space around the tip of your cone. This will help fill out your gnome's hat.

Fold about 2 inches of your fabric under to create a fold in the hat. Place your cone in the center of your drop cloth. The drop cloth should be about half way down your "fur body". Wrap the drop cloth around and hot glue it in place.

Starting at the top of the drop cloth cut your fabric straight down the middle until you are about 2 inches above the top of the cone. Tie each side of fabric in a knot to create an ear. Repeat on the other side.

Glue the twine together then add a drop of glue on the wood ball to stick the twine and ball together. Finally glue the "nose & whiskers" onto the fur of the gnome.

And that's it! Your super cute Bunny Gnome is all done. You can always customize your design by adding ribbon or a bow to the ear of your gnome.
